Great News Yesterday !!!!

We did the usual and traditional Kenmyfamily thing yesterday and took our entire family to Easter brunch (5 children + significant others, in laws, wifes siblings etc.)
Our eldest daughter and her husband passed my wife and I a yellow easter bag each. I opened min up to find a T-Shirt with 2 small boats with outboards with a guy fishing in them and the slogan "Grandpas First Little Fishing Buddy" due 7th November 2008 !!!!
Yes, we are going to be Grandparents for the first time !!!!
We can not wait. I have already started looking at all the childrens boating stuff !!! it will be appearing at the baby shower sometime down the road !!! and all from Grandpa !!!
Only downside is our daughter wont be doing too much boating this summer !!

I joined that club about 15 months ago and I am getting my 2nd grandchild in May.

It's great news! Congratulations! A great deal of enjoyment will be had watching Mom & Dad go through what we have gone through!!

Woo hoo Kenny nothing like fishing with some one that has never fished before at a very tender age.
You know what the best part of being a grandad is you can spoil them rotten and the give them back. Then you look the parents and call it pay back.

Thanks for all your support and good wishes. We are really excited and quite honestly did not expect this news for a couple of years or so and we also thought our younger daughter would be the first one. You just never know eh !!!!
TD, I dare not mention to the wife about the sleeping with Grandma thing just yet !!! but I roared laughing when I read that !!!
The new one will most likely out fish me every time, I dont pride myself on being good, just lucky sometimes.
J.B. It certainly is a milepost. I think we are more excited than when we found out we were having our own first child.
And for those of you that are grandparents already, I will be looking on your experience for advice when needed !!!!
