The end of last week was a real bummer. Wife and I were ready to anounce to the world that there was a little "aspeck" on the way. Had to leave the chat room suddenly, wife was having some problems. Later that night we lost the little one.

God knows what he is doing, and we took comfort in knowing that, but Saturday we just scrapped all plans, got the boat out of storage, and went to the lake. Elizabeth "caught" her first fish.

What a relaxing day and we came home feeling much better - something about solitude on the water! Boating and communing with God and family, what a way to overcome any obstacle!

Re: Great Therapy

Aspeck, You have my most profound condolences. I went through exactly the same thing when the Admiral was pregnate the first time and it was the the most heartwreching, hopeless time of my life. And while some people understand what the mother is going through the father generally gets overlooked. When it can be just as hard emotionally.

My prayers and best wishes for you and yours.

Re: Great Therapy

Sorry to hear about your loss Aspeck. :(

My bother-in-laws wife had numerous miscarriages before they had their first child. By looking at their little boy now, I would say it was all worth it.

Hang in there buddy. I'm convinced there is a reason for everything. :)

You and your famliy will be added to the Carpies prayers.

Re: Great Therapy

sorry for you and your wife's loss my wife and I know how you two feel because we lost one to.
We got to keep him for three months though and I was bitter for a long time about it. I am glad you could see so quickly that GOD has a plan for the greater scheme of things to come. Here is to the little one sitting on the right hand of GOD now.

Re: Great Therapy

Thanks all, your thoughts and prayers are appreciated. We do understand that God's ways are much higher than ours and we can live with that.

As "She who must be obeyed" says, we just have to "practice" more :D ! Glad she has a good sense of humor and a strong trust in God also!
