I have 1994 ski boat with full gauges on dash. I had a problem with a horn a couple of weeks ago and figured out it was a loose ground that needed to be tight end. While behind the dash I noticed a loose nut behind one of the gauges and tight end it also. After that I was a lil worried about all other gauges so went ahead and made sure everyone had tight connections. After I noticed my trim and temp jumped all the way to the right and looked like they had no power. Everything works as usual except for those two. Went back and checked the connections and everything is daisy chained and looks good but no power. What can I do to check these gauges. Not sure if they just went out or maybe i burned them some how.

Just the opposite, with them going all the way right they are pegged. Somewhere you grounded the leads going to there senders. Disconnect the wires going to the senders and it should go to the left. Then find where the wire is grounded

No Title

Ok I disconnected the sender wires and then turned ignition and it still stayed to the right. I traced my ground wires going throughout gauges and everything looks good.

Trim sender wire is Brown/White and Temp sender is Tan wire. Those are the wires you removed from the back of the gauges?

This is a Mercruiser correct?

They still work the same, power comes in, there is a ground and sender wire. Disconnect all the wires on the gauges and turn key on and take some measurements, something is crossed

He means, pull out your multi meter, see which is hot, which is ground, etc.
