We have several islands ranging fron 7-12 miles of shore. Ship, has a civil war fort that is fun to go in. Cat great fishing. just check out google maps. beaches on all of them. About the only place to get nice blue/green water in MS we have a river that dumps lots of silt into the sound. once you get outside the barrier islands it is like a different world. Also close to the fishing Mecca in LA. Definately worth a trip out there if you are in the area.
