H/E Clean-Out

While I have my H/E out I want to clean it. I flushed it with the hose......a little dirty water came out but that was about it. When I shake it I can faintly hear some debris moving around. I think I once read in a post about soaking it in something...........maybe some kind of acid?

Muriatic acid is always a good choice or get some radiator cleaner which is probably similar.Vinegar can be used as well.Charlie
