Have just put on a brand new starter motor on my Mercruiser 4.3L V6. Tried starting however the terminals on the battery seem to get hot and doesnt turn over overly quick but quicker than it did with the old Starter, any ideas. I am sure i have wired it correctly but am a novice so might have done some thing wrong!!
Hot terminals? You don't state your year, but it sounds like you probably need to replace your main red & black cables. Try to clean up your connections first, but I'll bet your cables are corroded/green/bad....J
