Hi, have those annoying hairline cracks all around corners which previous owner repaired with .... caulking gun or something similar. anyway, not looking to resurface deck and go into any major investment, just want it to look decent. stumbled up on this MagicEzy thing, can't find any reviews except fabulous testimonials which sticks like scam. can anyone recommend something?

thanks !

Re: hairline spider cracks

Interesting product, but it left me with some unanswered questions.

1. They didn't show any finished repairs, there was a quick glance at what they called a crack repair, but I had to stop the video myself to get more than a split-second look at it. What I saw when I stopped it was a bunch of less noticeable cracks??? What does a repair really look like?

2. What did Nano technology have to do with it?

3. What makes this a structural repair?

4. The chip repair product appeared to leave an uneven lump of white, not that cosmetically appealing. Again, show me the finished repair.

This seems similar to filling the gap with a high strength caulking/adhesive type product that is sort of close in color and somewhat flexible.

I can see it being used so you can achieve that "looks good from a distance", arms length for those that don't look close, type of repair. But I wouldn't really call it a repair, more of a cover-up that makes a bad spot a little less noticeable, at least for a while.

Have the same issue here, was thinking about Line-X bed liner. Line-X in particular because I know it is UV resistant. Thought I could mask off the areas with cracks and include deck areas to have a non skid area.

usually "fixing" small cracks looks worse than small cracks.

Have heard too many complaints. It creates a nightmare for future repairs. There are Marine products designed to coat decks such as durabak however, once again nightmare future repairs.

The magicezy stuff just appears to be colored epoxy and I would never trust those repairs to be for structure.

I have the MagicEzy stuff but I haven't had the need to use it. It's basically a gel that fills the cracks and creates a flexible seal. This makes the cracks significantly less noticeable. It's not really a structural fix, but should stay in place due to the fact in can flex some. The only real way to fix it is to grind out the cracks and re gel the are.

If you do use it, it would be nice to see some before and after pics, plus your thoughts on how well it worked.

Thanks

My friend is restoring a bass boat that I plan on trying it on in the next week or so. I'll post some pictures up.

^^ this ^^

I haven't owned a fiberglass boat yet that didn't have a few spider cracks in it. I don't sweat 'em.
