Hi. I’m hoping to revive this thread. I’ve looked around the web, but I’m only coming up with the Uniden Mystic being the only handheld with a combined VHF/GPS. Are there other brands out there? I’ve seen some FRS/GPS combos, but the Uniden seems to be the only one with a VHF. I’ve read the old posts on Uniden radios here in the forum and wouldn’t buy it with out a good review. Anyone out there have a Mystic?

Power Boat's Reports has undoubtedly run comparisons on them. PBR is the only outfit that does comparisons or articles about various equipment that I will pay any attention to at all. You can go to their website and see what was in back issues. Sometimes you can find the articles somewhere or you can just order the issue. One thing though, once you've read an issue of it you'll be addicted. The subscription price is a bit high, because they accept no advertising, but its worth it. <br /><br />Thom
