Since I dont have enough posts to win a popularity contest yet I will wish myself Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday Kory!

The goal this year is to quit smoking, that is my birthday present to myself. I haven't done a great job today but I am not going to give up on this.

And yes, you all should be jealous...I DO get the day after my birthday off EVERY YEAR, which has made for some parties of epic proportions.

Where is your Birthdate in your profile, KG? If we don't know about it you get no greeting. Has nothing to do with any popularity contest, though you don't make any points by whining about it.

Have a Happy Birthday, now that we know about it, but give us some warning if you expect greetings.

I don't whine...I only wisecrack :D Life is too good to be whining about anything. For some reason I must have thought birthdate was irrelevant when I signed up. I will take a look and give a more complete profile.

Thank you to everyone for ALL of the wishes. The better half and I will be going to Chicago in the morning to celebrate all sortsa things! This mini vacation has been quite an ordeal and I haven't even left yet... that's for a different thread though.

I just read an article somewhere that there main tourist org in Chicago was worried about crime rates. I saw a LOT of police on Michigan Ave and I felt really safe. I also saw 3 generations of tourists from about every country in the world there.

LOL - you didn't go far enough south west in the city. Downtown itself is pretty nice and comfortable. Get out and away from those "high profile" areas and it gets a little rough and tumble. No worse than any other big city, and better than some others ... I'm originally from Detroit
