HBD Teddy! At least he had the hair to vote and state his true cornvictions on the Iraq war right out of the hole. Don't much like him, but do admire his 'hair'. JR ps hope I don't get zapped for takin' yer bait Bro Haut.

Career politicians....I'm gonna go out on a limb here & read the minds of some guys that have been dead 200 yrs - if the Founding Fathers would have even dreamed of this happening they'd have written term limits right into the Constitution.

Rant over.

On a more pleasant note, this is also the Birthday of George W. the first.

We used to celebrate that.:'(

Good point JB, that is part of the problem with the 3 day weekend thing, the real dates get overlooked....
You know there was not one mention of it in the local newspaper.......

If Mary Jo was still alive she could take Teddy for a swim.

Well, at the risk of being zapped, I will take this opportunity to wish you many happy returns of the day. What is the problem with mentioning George Washingtons Birthday?
BTW you don't look a day over 45. ;)

And if Teddy was driving a Volkswagon, he'd be president today.

Re: Happy Birthday!

Happy BIrthday Eric. Here is a little humor to make the birthday go better:

THE GOLDEN YEARS:
When actions creak louder than words.

Age doesn't always bring wisdom.
Sometimes age comes alone.

Forget the health food.
I need all the preservatives I can get.

God grant me the senility to forget the
people I never liked anyway...
The good fortune to run into the ones I do...
And the sense to tell the difference!

I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

I've gotten to the age where I need my false teeth and hearing aid before I can ask where I left my glasses.

It's no longer a question of staying healthy.
It's a question of finding a sickness you like.

My mind not only wanders,
sometimes it leaves completely.

Middle age is when you burn the midnight oil around 9:00 pm.

--------------

One evening, two old men from a retirement home were sitting on the front porch of the retirement home.

One man said to the other old man, "You know, Albert, if you think about it, we are not that old. I mean, my memory is still very good."

As the man said this, he knocked on the wooden chair beside him. "Actually, as sharp as ever."

After a couple minutes of silence, the first man started to talk again, "So, is anyone going to get the door, or do I have to do it?"
