How would I of fixed the numerous issues on the engine ,without using the shifter lever ,forward or reverse..With it off sometimes..example .. adjusting the throttle cable or unjamming the spark advance etc....... have to disagree with u..anyway hard shift is fixed ..greased the spring more in the throttle arm....Is fine now..

You got lucky, that's how. You cand disagree all you want, doesn't change the fact that About half the time, the cogs will align correctly. So, if it shifts when not running, it's by chance. As mentioned above, avoid shifting when not running.

All you did was put unnecessary grease there. What happened was that the forward gear and clutch dog just happened to be aligned so that the clutch dog could slide forward. Without the engine running it's just a matter of chance whether or not things are lined up to allow the engine to shift into gear. As already mentioned, if you must shift into gear without the engine running you can rotate the prop to get the clutch dog and gear into alignment, then it will slide into gear easily.

EDIT
