I noticed that it is hard to shift from forward to reverse and the gear is getting stuck on the current setting until the shifter is clicked in neutral and then reversed into opposite direction. This throttle/shifter control has two levers a little different from my other boats, but adjusting the shifter cable is the same. Should I adjust it the same way as I did on my other boats? And if there is a detailed link to the adjustment of the shifter cable on this forum I would really appreciate if you can help me with locating it. Thank you.
I saw a faster way to do so, by removing shifter cable and leaving only remote assistance hardware, settin the lever in neutral, letting the gear shifter adjust to the neutral position and then rotating a drum on the shifter cable until it sits perfectly on the pins. Is it a good way to adjust, or should I measure the distance from the reverse cable hole to the drum in full reverse position, I recall it should be 6 inches exactly and then adjust for the forward setting and at the end rotate the drum 4 turns counterclockwise? I dont exactly remember the procedure, have done it once a while ago.
