Well, today with the nice temperatures up here we took the boat out but it ended up being a shorter trip and 3 bullheads
Motor ran great at first, but then after moving to a second spot we again had a hard time getting the motor into neutral and if we finally did and got moving again the motor would often just quit after running nicely for a few mins or so. When we did get it started it would pretty high too. I don't believe this is a shifter cable issue as I've tried a different cable and if I can't move it by hand either.
Any chance these two issues would be related? I'm thinking probably not, as I'm thinking the shifter issue may be an issue with the lower rod? And the cutting out is probably a fuel issue?
If it is a fuel issue, how hard is it to clean the carb? I'ts a 1981 Evinrude 35 horse I believe.
Thanks in advance!
