Hard start warm

1989 5.7L Alpha Rochester 4 bbl. Choke appears to be working correctly. Fires right up when cold. Once it's warmed up she will spin like there's no timing chain . Only way to get her to catch is WOT. What should I look for (other than a fire extinguisher)?

If it hits after going to WOT, this would normally mean you have a fuel flooded engine. You may have a faulty needle valve, faulty float, float level set too high, or a bit of trash in the bowl preventing the needle valve to seat properly.
