5.0 mercruiser. Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. When I start the boat it fires right up. Then it dies after about 5 seconds. After that it’ll just sit there and crank and I cannot start it unless I put the throttle down while cranking then it will go. After that it runs perfectly and idles no problem no issues when accelerating either. It seems like it might be flooding every time? I’ve tried pumping the throttle before starting and it didn’t change anything. What’s going on?
