hard steering

Hello,
I have a 1981 Marlin 22ft. boat with a OMC-800 outdrive. Got a 350 Chevy with about 280 hp. The steering works fine when going slow. When the boat is on plane and up to speed, turning to the left is effortless, but turning to the right is a real BEAR! Is this condition caused by the propeller "P-FACTOR" or by some internal problem in the steering system itself? The outdrive was recently removed for gear replacement in the upper unit. Could it have been reinstalled incorrectly? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You, Abe.

Abe,

Adjust the trim tab (under the cavitation plate).

Adjust the rear of the tab in the direction of the pull. In this case, to the left.
