hard t start after warms up fine

jusst bought an 87 force 85hp was told i runs fine once warmed up and as told that it needed a water tube, by his tech-if this sounds reasonable, how hard is it to replace-know there is a plastic and a copper tube. also was told he replaced the water pump

The water pump replacement is really a very easy task to do. There is a sticky post on top of this forum on how to do this. However, for the water tube that is quite a different story since it requires installing those O-rings, bracket and seal at the bottom of the power head meaning it requires removing the power head to properly install the water tube. If you have done this before and have to tools to lift that power head, maybe you can say it is also not that hard to do.
