Hard to start in water but fine on trailer

I have seen a couple posts with similar symptoms but no solutions. So I start my boat on the trailer yesterday before going out and starts right up. Starts right up to launch it but from then on out it is a PITA to start. Last time out, which was only a couple weeks ago I had no problem. Hooked up the muffs today and started on the first revolution in the driveway.

Any ideas? Full tune up done at the beginning of season. I did let it set for a couple weeks between trips with less than a half a tank of gas then topped in off before going out. Any chance I could have built up that much condensation over such a short period of time?

Thanks

Does it start when you first put it in the water and then hard to start after it warms up?

If so you might want to check the choke is not stuck shut and is opening when the engine warms up.

Your thermostat might be stuck in full open as well and not allowing the engine to warm properly.

Does the boat sit in the water the same as it does on the trailer? It could be that it is tilted and the float is out of adjustment.
