I have a 73 johnson 25 h.p. with electric start the wiring harness burned up and I can't get another so I would like to hardwire this motor if someone could tell me how.
Which harness burnt up Chaser? Engine or to the console. After market engine harness' may be gotten from Rapair or Pro Marine. Check out their web sites. The engine harness PN is 385821.
do you have a service manual? its about the only way. did the harness on the engine burn?<br /><br /> its a very simple set up but ya have to know a bit about 12V dc circuits and how the engine kill circuit and starting circuits as well as charging circuits,if applicable, work.
The harness with the plug that goes to the motor is the one that burned up .Iwent to rapair and pro marine and they said no information on that part so idon't know where to gofrom here. I'to old to keep pulling that rope. Thanks for the help and happy holidays. dogchaser
