Has anyone cut in a transom door

Ihave a 28 Wellcraf Monte Carlo and I would like to cut om a transom door. I am wondering if anyone has sucessflly done this and was it incredibly involved?

ive been wanting to do same thing to my 17 foot center console.<br /><br />i was thinking it wouldnt have to be too hard, as all the ones ive seen that are :factory: dont even seal all the way tight, you could always see water of light coming through

Yes I have.I have a 2900 Wellcraft Sportsbridge.The Monte Carlo is almost same hull.Work involved?A bunch,not hard,alot of time if you know how to glass.And yes,I am getting to old to climb over the side at the dock!My boat is still dry dock,looking to get it back in the water around end of april.I could email some pic's next week if you want!
