I have a 2000 Crownline/350 mag/ bravo 3 that is vapor locking. I bought this boat in 2005 and it has done this 10-12 times when it's 95ish degrees. I can put the boat in the water take a 15-20 minute cruise then sit for 30 minutes and it will start then die and will not restart but I can pull it 100-200 feet and it will start every time. I've tryed running the blower at all times and let it idle for a few minutes before shutting it off. My main question is do you think pulling it (which is at just above idle with other boat so not very fast) would push just enough water through the sea water pump and then the fuel cooler to let it start. Like I said it has never failed to start after pulling it. I know mercruiser has a check valve kit to put after the fuel cooler to prevent block water from back flowing into the cooler and that is my next step unless you all tell me something else. Thanks
