Has anyone heard of the shrink wrap that looks like a paint job? And if anyone had it done last year or prior, how is it holding up? Any peeling off or is it as good as new. And what if you happen to scrape the dock with it, does it leave any marks as in rips?

I kow in the autoworld people wrap their vehicles in vinyl, easy way to change the color of your car. If you mess it up you can replace just that panels wrap.

On a boat...I doubt it would last long

Actually boat wraps can last quite a long time so long as you don't bump into stuff and tear them,....

When you see a fancy sponsored tournament boat, It is a wrap,...

A simple Google search should find a designer/installer,.....

My neighbor did this to his ski nautique... He got a specially designed graphic for it... the guy spent all day out in his driveway putting it on with a heat gun, etc... I asked about longevity especially at or below the water line and the guy was adamant that it would hold up. Although it wasn't my style (I'm sort of a one color type of guy), it turned out pretty well.... and looked a lot easier than re-painting a boat or buffing out old gel coat.

Jigngrub,

No, not in that pattern, I'm more of a water skiing fan. I have a 16ft cobra that had a rather quick paint job when I bought, I was wondering if it was worth putting a wrap instead of sanding and repainting...

99% of the tourney bass boats are wrapped. Seems to hold up pretty well. I've removed the stuff before and it's not one of my favorite jobs. You might want to think about that little problem before you proceed.

Scantily bikini clad wimmins on water ski's?... if so, we need pics of the finished product!

Sure thing, I'll get ya some pictures if I go down that road!! The thing is though, I don't think the wife will approve.....unless I hide it with camouflage netting when I back it up in the yard!!
