Yes it may be "Sac Relig" to paint the yamaha white, but it would look much better cosmetically with the color scheme of my boat once it's painted. Does anyone have a photos of one painted. I will have a 96 200HP.
urm I have painted my motors whatever colour you can think of .... cause it needs to match the colours of the sponsor that I race for ..... I will see if i have a pic of it white ..... but I have to tell you that the paint never last .... even though it gets done professionally where they bake it / powder coat .epoxy coat it .... you name it ... it will always chip off .... and white gets very dirty ....... just my experience ....
I painted an older gray Suzuki white. Used can gloss spray paint. Looked really good at first. Lost its sheen pretty quick and after a few years started to chip in a few spots. But no big deal...
LOL, my first boat had a Johnson and it was great motor. I like motors that have been painted solid Black or white, depending upon the paint scheme for the boat. Just so happens when i paint my boat, white will look better.
I've got an intrepid with twin 250 Yamaha which were powder coated at the factory. Looks awesome. No chipping or staining problems at all. They are 2002 motors and if we repower the boat down the road will definitely have them painted again.
