Re: have spark and fuel

There seems to be fuel going into ejectors, spark plugs are not wet and fuel pump is fine. (Fuse for the Ejectors)??

If you see fuel coming out of the injectors then why would you have fuse issues? if you have a code scanner that would be your best bet, Don S. on here has a link to forum going on rite now on how to make your own scanner for pretty much a dollar. But in your case theres alot of testing or just a scan mite do it. air, fuel, spark and computer good luck:)

I only have less than 1 volt at the injectors when cranking.

.

Exactly what does that mean ???

There seems to be fuel going into ejectors,

You have an MPI engine, and the are called injectors. Since the fuel end is inside the engine, how do you know they have fuel in them or coming out of them?
How did you check for spark?

Sounds like the engine died, you tried to start it, the starter turns the engine but it won't start. Is that it?

Re: have spark and fuel

Just started out for the day jumped on throttle to get to cruise speed and boat died and would not start. Changed fuel filter, checked all fuses on rear of engine and all are fine and we are getting fuel all the way to the injectors and they are not injecting into cylinders. Plugs are not wet with gas after constant cranking, I am almost feel like the ecu is gone and don't have a scan tool to check.

Re: have spark and fuel

So, you don't know if you have spark, you don't know if you have fuel pressure or not, and you think you have a bad ECU ?????

You say you changed the fuel filter. Did you check the old one to see if it was full of water? If the system is full of water, new fuel filter isn't going to help.

Check for spark and check fuel pump pressures (High and low) and post your results.

I do have spark and The fuel pressure not positive,no gauge. Fuel pumps are pumping and on the fuel rail have pressure everytime I check, with the shrader valve. Fuel filter had not water in it.

Re: have spark and fuel

Anyone know where the fuel injection wires on a Volvo Penta 5.0GXI meet up from all injectors? I am thinking one of the main wires from the ECA to the location the fuel injection wires meet up may have broke off. The fuel pressure is good, both high and low along with a good ignition spark. The boat cranks without a problem, but no signs of combustion. This all happened when throttling down today to get on plane and then the engine just shut off immediately without an engine alarm.
