When I was young(17), I carelessly drove my grandparents car at a very high rate of speed, which in turn, went into a ditch and rolled 7 times.<br />The witnesses said the car was doing 360's in the air and went threw a line of trees, crashing down with the roof completely crushed. <br />It did land right side up, but wow, what a ride!<br />After the crash, I went back to the site and noticed that there was no way a car could drive between the trees, which means, the car was sideways in mid air when it went between the trees. <br />I am lucky to be alive, and learned a VERY valuable lesson. <br />Besides that, I have only had 1 fender bender...it was raining and I did not brake fast enough and rear-ended a fellow. Minor damage.
<br />I was driving like an idiot when I was 17 and spun out my car (on a fairly straight road). I hit a tree at the front of the drivers door. It squished my legs just enough so it was hard to get them out but I didn't break anything. I woulda' been toast if it hit 2' further back. About 5 years later I fell asleep at the wheel on the way home one night and hit a pole. It totalled the car but I wasn't going very fast so I never got hurt on that one either. <br />Close call however; we were partying at this house one night and the topic went to hot rods. Turns out this fella' had a 69 Mustang fastback with a Cleveland 4 gear in it. He asked if my bud and I wanted to go for a spin, we stupidly said yes. This tough-guy knob took us for a ride all right, all of a sudden he nails the throttle up to 100 + mph in the light fog. We couldn't see anything at that speed... we also got out of the car at the next light. Yeah thanks you &^%$%#%*!<br />A few years later the guy ended up getting stabbed to death by his brother in what the judge decided was self defense. Karma
