Hey guys, this is my first post so I'm new to this kind of thing. I bought a 2002 Key West 1520cc back in February and love it, but there seems to be some major problems with the fuel line. My boat has a 2002 Yamaha 60 4-stroke. For the first month I owned it it ran fine, but now whenever I try to plane off it will go like normal and then the pitch of the sound of the engine will change and it will not get above 3500 RPM's. Once this happens, I and the passengers in my boat have to get on the bow and once the stern gets out of the "hole" it will finally start climbing up to 5300 RPM's(which is the max). I am pretty sure this is not an issue with having too much weight in the back because it ran fine up until about a month ago. I took of both water separators and the liquid in them was very cloudy and had water in them along with some dirt particles. I then put them back on and took my boat out again only to find that it was still having problems getting on a plane. The only other thing I could think of that is wrong is that there is something in the carburetor. Thanks again to all answers!! :)

Cloudy fuel means it has been loaded with moisture and/or phase separated and is no longer any good. You will need to pump all fuel out of tanks and then clean tanks, lines, pumps and every other part of the fuel system

Might be a good time to inspect the vent hose as well. A properly installed vent hose should have a loop in it similar to a lowercase cursive "e". This way no fuel can be trapped in the lower lying areas.
