hds-7m to a Lowrance hds5-x via Lowrance Ethernet cable

Once again greetings from England.
My pal has given me a spare lowrance ethernet cable. The one with yellow connectors.Would it be feasable.useful or practicable to connect a Lowrance hds-7m to a Lowrance hds-5x sonar. I have a lowrance nmea2000 system already!

If you connect HDS devices via EtherNet, you can share more functionality. I recommend reading this good overview of HDS networking:
