Hey Guys,
going to bolt down the head on my 3.0 gsm-b, 2002, one stud has more thread than others, anyone know which hole it belongs to? I think they all are a part of water jacket but one does has 1/4 or so more threads. Also, I know the pattern, 95lbs sound right for this engine?
In case anyone runs into issue, I had no signs of corrosion yet one day the engine stalled with very little effort to start.. 5 hrs later stalled, tried to start and hydro locked. Pulled plugs and #4 was a garden hose with water. Pulled everything, expected head gasket, no such luck. Took a close look at riser and it had a hole inside jacket. Water would only enter cylinder when idling. I should have checked the manifold and riser for corrosion, could have been easily caught. I am hoping no damage caused, only starter ever turned motor during hydro lock, not on engines own power
Thanks,
Corey
