head gasket material...does it matter?

Replacing head gaskets on OMC 351W. Will automotive gaskets do or is it necessary to install the stainless or copper gaskets?<br />Thanks,<br />Dan

go with a marine head gasket. it u use an automotive type, you're wasting you're time as it won't hold up. spend the few extra $$$$ for the marine type.
