ok, i might be overlooking something stupid, but that said i just bought a 1987 bayliner ciera 2550. i cannot figure out how to activate the head. the boat has water and the pump is working. both sinks and shower work. but i cannot get any water into the head.

there is a black handle that you pull up and silver switch on the side that says for dry toilet or flush. i have pulled the handle up and down and nothing, i have also tried several different combinations of that with the silver handle.

is there a valve somewhere that i need to turn on? the boat sat winterized for two years and i can see the antifreeze in the bottom of the head. there is also down by the engine a line that runs to the bottom of the boat that has a handle on it that says "head pickup."

does this mean it draws water from the lake?

any help would be appreciated.

Yep...you've already got it figured out. Those toilets use lake water to flush (why waste good water from your tank?) The connection at the bottom of the hull (seacock) needs to be open and then set the selector to flush and it should start to draw water up after a couple of pumps on the handle.
