I pulled the head off to take a peak inside. I was originally dealing with a starter problem. I performed a de-carb and actually had it running for a bit. Just a re-cap, a 93 force 120. the top two cylinders looked almost unused there was some corrosion inside #2. #4 alson had some. 3 and 4 had all black covering the piston heads. I also have two tough spots when turning the flywheel. one at TDC and one half way around. what do I need to look for to make sure this thing is servicable. How can I clean it up?

Re: Head is off, really ugly inside

Just an update in hopes of helping other boaters. With the head off, I've sprayed deep creep and wd-40 in and around the cylinders. I've turned the flywheel by hand severals times and this thing has free'ed itself up. No more tight spots. I keep periodically spinning it by hand and letting it soak. I still haven't decided if the head is going to be put back on today or not. I'll update.
