Well I am off to China tomorrow. Flying in to Hong Kong, stay overnight near the airport then off to the Chinese mainland the next morning. Staying in China till 25th then back to Hong Kong for an early flight on the 26th to Narita (Tokyo) Japan. 6 hour train ride to Hiroshima and a couple of days there. Then back to Nagoya late on the 28th for a quick overnight stop before flying out of Nagoya on the 29th back home. No free days on this trip it is business all the way through :(
I will be doing it all again for a 2 week trip at the end of October / early November (ish) as well.
The flights I am looking forward to are at the end of November when Mrs Ken and I head off to the Dominican Republic for 10 days.
I will get out here as much as I can in my absence as long as the old laptop keeps running !!!

Enjoy, be safe and drum up some business :)

BTW, thanks, the parties at your place, are so much easier to plan, when you give us notice like this ;):D

I am going to review tooling already in the build process (about 60% completion) in China. Tooling is for Hyundai and Kia and will be running at our Alabama facility and supplying the Hyundai plant in Alabama and the Kia plant in Georgia. We have to source a certain percentage of the program to the main country of the manufacturer. We sourced to a Korean company and they in turn subbed it out to China  Time will tell the quality of the tooling. I am meeting with Mazda and Nissan in Japan to get some more business for us to build and run for their North American facilities.
Good news is that our company is constantly hiring these days.
Fingers crossed.

Oh, by the way. I have not re-stocked the bar after the last party so it will have to be BYOB :D:D

I enjoy some travel, but not so much when I have an overnight flight and I'm in the back. Yuk.

I know this might sound lame, but I just love the vending machines at Narita airport. Specifically the ones that spit out drinks. You can get coffee in a can. Put in a few Yen, wait a minute, and presto a piping hot can of coffee; So warm it makes you wanna pee your pants on a cold day in Japan. :)

The vending machines generally all over Japan are an education. Hot or iced coffee, a gazillion versions of green tea drinks amongst others and the funnies can drink name I saw was "Sweat" obviously something gets lost in the translation as it actually is like 7 up

I understand that! It looks like I will might get a pass on the overseas travel in October ... might be nice to stick around home for a bit longer. Time will tell.

As for the party, if business is hiring, then get to stocking the fridge! And don't forget the diet coke with lime!

Re: Heading overseas again

Well, arrived in Shenzhen about an hour ago. Hired a limo company for the ride. Coming through immigration was fun. first checkpoint was for passport check, then drive a few hundred yards to a second passport and visa check with a few questions to answer. Through that to a third check with the windows down and the trunk open and after that off to a 4th check under the hood. Then on our way.
I hope they don't start that at the Windsor / Detroit border !!!

Sounds like quite an adventure, kenny. Where in DR are you going? I took a boat to Casa De Campo for many a winters stay. Been all over that island by dirt bike. Always a place in my heart for the Dominicans and their country. Live like a rock star while there.
