heads still leaking

from my 200hp merc, new gasket, torque 40 ft lbs and water shoots from the bottom of the heads by the gasket meets the block...<br /><br />can someone suggest a brand of sealant that silicone mabey that works good, i'm thinking of using a little jbweld where it leaks at, any ideas before i take to motor and have them weld the heads on :) j/k

Don't use any sealant unless recommended by the manufacturer on the head gasket. I would suggest removing the head (you have to anyway) and take the head to a machine shop and have the mating surface decked 0.005 inches. Shouldn't cost more than $25-30. It sounds you me like you have a warped head (often the result of overheating). Make sure when you install the new gasket that you not only torque the bolts to the right torque but in the proper sequence (see manual).<br /><br />PS ixnay on the Bweldjay.
