Heat Buzzer

I have a 76 Evinrude 85 hp and about a month ago had a new water pump installed. I took it out and all was fine. Spent the day on the lake and never a problem. Tonight, I put the muffs on and started it to make sure all was ok before taking wife out Friday. I only allowed it to idle, never reved it up and the overheat buzzer went off....Any suggestions?

Did you feel the cylinder heads by hand too?

Feel head temp when it does it. Should be able to hold a 4 count without havin g to remove your hand.
