Hi, I have a 1998 Mercuiser 5.0. This summer it would not start a couple of times after running for a while and stopping and shutting off for 15 minutes or longer). Good batteries and connections, just no starter engagement. A few weeks ago the local marina replaced the starter and solenoid. Just this weekend the same thing happened and it started up again after about 20 minutes with the engine cover open. I printed off the "HOW TO: Troubleshooting your engines starting system" and feel like I now have a plan to test things. THANKS! I am curious, could heat have anything to do with what I have described? Is any heat building up after shutting down for a while that might cause a problem? Bart
