For those of you who have been following ,i have chosen the path of right and ordered a new replacement exchanger from AAA Marine Parts Wholesale out of Bellingham Washington. Best price around at $425.00 plus,plus etc.Thanks again for all who tried to help.
I have a new question: is there a link or blowup for the 3.7 engine which would detail for me, where and how many frost plugs are on this engine. Thought it best to check all potential leak sources before installing the new unit. Again the engine is a 1988 Merc Cruiser 3.7L with a two barrel carb. Thanks B
