I have a 1992 Vovlo inline 4-cylinder in my boat. Well why it was stored over the winter, all of my antifreeze leaked out. Well someone that the heat exchanger might have a small hole in it inside.Therefor leaking the water on the raw water side to leak out. So my question where do u find a heat exchaner and how much are they

Where did it leak to? If you did not drain the raw water side of the heat exchanger it could have frozen.

Re: Heat exchangers

What model 4 cyl Volvo do you have? Is it the GM 3.0L engine?<br />Whatever the model engine is, before you go replacing the heat exchanger, do a pressure test of the engine and the heat exchanger to find out which is at fault. All you would need is a freeze plug to pop out a little and the antifreeze would be gone.

Re: Heat exchangers

I dont know where it went. I had the boat winterized by a boat shop. It was winterized right i guess. It was done previous years there. All i know is when i started it up this year the heat exchanger didnt have any antifreeze in it. I filled it up and brought the boat up to operating temp and no over heating problems. I need to cheak it again to see if it is still full. I didnt see any antifreeze in the bilge or driveway. I didnt see white smoke out of the exhaust like if it was burning it.
