Re: heavy boat

I do not know what kind of boat you have but some boats have two small drain plugs on each side of the blige well.

Re: heavy boat

I had a 15' Chrysler tri-hull runabout that would get so much water under the floor that the bow would be too heavy to lift when trailering. I cut a rectangular opening in the floor between the front seats, and cut out the syrofoam flotation underneath. If I couldn't drain the water by tilting the bow up, I would bail and siphon the water out of the hull through the opening -- which I covered with a plastic port cover (looked good -- identical to storage compartments in some newer boats). I think I probably prolonged the life of the old hull by doing this -- managed to keep it a whole lot drier than before.
