what are the odds that I have damaged a DT15 suzuki 2str. The impellor was bad and I ran it, and it over heated. It got so hot it turned off. I didn't know the impellor was bad. I went ahead at compression tested both cylinders and they read 110psi on each. Do you think there is a chance the motor was damaged? thank you

hello<br /> well for starters the auto shut off was the pistons sticking to the cylinders. I would at a minimum retorqe the head bolts by first loosening the bolt then retorqeing to the proper spec.<br /> a leak down test would be very nice. that would detect scuffing and stuck rings.maint my man maint. or you can pay people like me lots of coinage <br /> good luck and keep posting

What happen was I just bought this motor, and being a newbie I barely know what the heck I am getting into...I love fishin', but have had all bad luck with 2stroke motors...Can you explain what a leak down test is and how it is done.. thank you for your time.
