Ok...we are just about done with out boat!!! We have a 2001 115 Evinrude Ficht Injection Ram motor. It will work fine for a short trip like 20 minutes, then all of a sudden when you try to accelerate it will bogg and stall out when trying to reach a higher speed (which is terrifying) or if you pull back on the throttle and slow it down in time before it stalls you can go at trolling speed forever but if you try and accelerate it makes a horrible stalling noise and dies. We don't have any problems starting it off the hop but once the 20 minutes of fun is up and goes south and it stalls we can't restart it. We have changed the spark plugs, water /fuel separator filter, fuel filter ect. No codes are showing for mechanic and no lights are on! Anyone have any clue???? Could it have something to do with our throttle? Heat sensor? We need help!

no codes is good... but the ECU_EMM can'T tell you what it does not "sense"
like clogged injectors .or filters etc...

Not a FICHT expert but I read a lot .. :) almost sounds like fuel starvation or restriction .

have you checked all filtering and that little tricky filter in the VST return line from the injectors ??

you may have one or not.... early diagrams did not show it (part#7) neither did it show one on my 2005 ETEC VST but there is one !!! . if you haven't and do check it be VERY CAREFUL BARBs ARE BRITTLE $$$$ break one and you need a new VST !!!!

you may also want to check VST inlet float & needle operation

when your problem shows up try pumping the fuel bulb if the issue clears check the lift pump may need a look at incl. fuel pick up !!

btw... see vst issue ..

you may want to do other searches here on IBOATS and... on the ETEC owners board (EOB will not answer FICHT issues but the search utility may help)
