Just bought my first boat today, 86 bayliner caprie with the Volvo penta engine. The boat is in pretty good shape (could use some tlc) however the fill neck for the coolant is broken and has no cap. I've spent some time looking and have not been able to find said part and was really hoping someone here would be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Hi, to try and help better we'll need to know what engine and stern drive model/type/size you have?
Are there any product and or serial numbers on the engine somewhere as they may help too at times...Usually these numbers are on a tag such as like this, https://www.volvopenta.us/marineleis...ne/decals.html
Also if/when possible, maybe posting a photo of the overall damaged part may help get some guidance as well.

most likely since the reference is a fill neck, it will be a AQ125 motor with a 270 drive which was a common motor back in '86 for the small bayliners. However as FT pointed out, help us help you by posting some more information.

if it is the AQ125, the part in question with the fill neck would most likely be the heat exchanger.
