Hello Everyone: New to site

Hello everyone. My name is Hank and I have been reading the forums for the last two days since I picked up a 1970's model Browning Malibu for free form Freecycle. I have never owned a boat before and like to work on projects, so I thought I would jump in!

I noticed that everyone here is helpful and I just ready a post asking if project boats are worth it and I was impressed with the responses and offers to help. That is what prompted me to post here.

I know that I will have allot of questions along the way, but please be easy on me

My neighbor restored a 1960's MFG and I will also be picking his brain. I will try to post some pics when I get them.

Let me be the first to welcome you aboard the Iboat forums. I call this forum the real boaters forum given the variety and wealth of information available. BTW: stay away from what I call the center console forum, theh&lltr*th forum, unless you wanted to be insulted.

welcome aboard, there is no stupid question. our goal is to help, and safe boating, and save you a couple of dollars. we do appreciate the support of the iboats.com marine store, that provides the free forum. i like to call it the University of Boating. what you learn here, for free, would cost you what a college degree would.

Welcome Hank, I am also a newbie boater. I have gotten so much good advice here and nobody has made me feel like my questions are stupid yet. It is a very supportive forum. I hope you enjoy it. good luck with your new boat.

I am also new to this site and addicted to it.Find myself here during coffee in the morning before work and after.Just so much information to absorb.Enjoy seeing pictures of everyones boats and projects.Doesnt seem to matter what the problem is someone has been there and has a solution.
