I've been away from Iboats and outboard repairs for some time. June of 2013 we had a very unfortunate flood in our province and long story short our home was at the center of it all. I'm only now starting to muck with some omc's again. Have looked at the last few pages of posts and happy to see so many familiar names are still very active. Some names I'm not seeing and hope they are just on vacation.
I am working on a 1954 cd 11 and will be asking for lots of advice on it. Haven't been able to find much info on it so far. Suffice to say, it's good to be back. Best of luck. Rick.

Welcome back Rick, so sorry to hear of your misfortune with mother nature. I couldn't begin to imagine what it takes to get back on your feet after something like that.

An excellent motor.-------Lots of them still around and running nicely.-----Lots of parts are easy to get too.----Start with a compression test.----Look through the hole in the flywheel to inspect the coils.-----In the Calgary area ?
