As a new boat owner, last one was 40+ yrs ago, I purchased a 2014 Crownline 185SS with only 87 hrs on it. I love the boat but it has a lousy hole shot for skiing. (Nothing to do with me skiing about 10x in last 40 yrs!). It has Mercruiser 4.3l 190hp TKS engine. Prop is I believe 15x21. Final drive is Alpha one 1.81. WOT is 48mph gps with 4800 RPM. Our lake is only 4mi long so I don;t mine giving up top end for hole shot. After doing some research I seem to like the 4 bladed Hustler prop from Turning Point. When I used their prop wizard it came up with 15x15 prop which seems quite a step down from what I have. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Depends on how many skiers you need to pull up, and how fast you want to get them up. A 4 blade 15p should pull up 4 I'd guess, although I'm not a skier. Whatever you go with just watch the rpm when not pulling anyone.
