Help motor turning over too hard!
Recently bought a 1995 120 sea ray renegade with supposedly dirty carbs. On first time running I added dry gas in case there might be water in gas. Well the boat ran fine for about 20 minutes then stalled when we parked it to try out fish finder. After stopping the boat it would not start and the starter got stuck in the flywheel. I purchased a new starter but had the same results. Motor will turn over and then lock up turn over then lock up while the battery gets hot to the point of smoking. Could this be from oil injector not working? I found a recall on the oil injector saying that if the injector was fixed at factory it would be stamped on exhaust. Mine is not stamped and this could lead to running as lean 80 to 1 oil mix.

No, it's not in inboard, it's a 120hp Mercury Sportjet.
It's an outboard motor stuck on a jet pump inside a boat.
Moving to Merc outboard forum.
