Hello everybody,

I have a 1992 Bayliner Capri with a 120HP L-Drive and it is running at a really low idle and when I shift into gear it stalls.
My tach does not work so I am not sure what the rpms are.
I have put carb cleaner & fuel conditioner through it but it doesn't seem to have helped.

Is there an adjustment I can make to the idle speed? How? Anybody got a labelled picture of the carb so I know which screw adjusts what?
What should the idle and mixture screws be set at?

HELP!

Profile? Location? You might be close to someone who can help.
Start with a compression and spark test.
The air screws, screw with the spring on the left side of the carb.
It should be 1 turn out from lightly seated.
The idle should be about 1100 in the driveway.
To raise the rpm's the tower shaft on the stbd side of the engine.
At the bottom is a Philister Screw(big head) with a lock nut(7/16 wrench) Loosen the nut and screw in to raise the rpms

Thanks, I'll check the air mixture screws. I adjusted the idle up a little bit but not much. Didn't want to push it with no tach to confirm.

I'll do a compression & spark check too.

I'm on Lake Simcoe near Keswick, ON. Just updated my profile.
