Help / advice needed, trying to remove transom plate and inner flywheel housing !!

Hi Guys,
have just got winner viscount 21 with no engine, have outdrive leg removed, but cannot see how flywheel housing separates from transom plate, any help advice greatly appreciated, all the transom bolts removed but the clymer manual I have got with the boat tells me nothing about complete engine and drive removal,

The outdrive is a volvo 280, not sure what the engine was, sorry if question is basic .

Without knowing what outdrive and engine you have, an answer is impossible.

I intend to re-engine with an outboard and am in the process of removing the volvo 280 leg, but as I said cannot see how the flywheel housing separates, there was no engine with the boat,
It looks like a rubber seal between the two parts , any thoughts on getting to remove the seal, and the easiest way !

On the outside, where the drive was, there is a clamp ring with 6 bolts holding it on. Remove those bolts and the flywheel housing will come off.

bolts removed, casing stuck fast ! can I lever in any way without doing damage or is there an alternative, thanks

If you look in the clamp ring, there are 3 threaded holes, install 3 of the clamp ring bolts and evenly tighten them as jack screws to push the clamp ring away from the flywheel housing.
Sounds like a seriously corroded salt water boat.
