Hi, I bought a 1991 Larson 220 Hampton that the outdrive DP 290 (I think) was taken apart because of a broken steering helmet. I think the shop removed the driveshaft from the lower unit and put it back on without screws or other parts. When I put it back together I wound up with these "extra" parts. One looks like a home made wood shim and the second a big plastic ring that I have left over. If anyone knows where the ring goes and which way the white side faces that would be fantastic. I want to make sure I put everything back in place before I put it in the water. Also, how impoartant is it to replace all the rubber seals? Any pointers on putting this back together. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
