Help! Can I continue to use this prop through the Memorial Day Weekend?

Took the boat out on the Delta today and ran into some shallow water where I was stirring up alot of muck and I chipped and bent the prop. The boat still runs fine, a bit more vibration but nothing massive. Should I get a new prop or do you think I can run with this one for awhile?

Do not run the boat at planing speed with that prop. That is significant damage. If you can feel vibration, its not good. Check and be sure that you did not bend the prop shaft. Running that prop at high speed for long enough could cause a major gearcase failure (big $$$). That prop could likely be repaired, but if you need the boat asap, you might have to buy a new prop.

I agree you will create a much larger repair bill. That prop can be rebuilt probably for less than $100.00.

Near the Delta there has to be a lot of prop shops considering how shallow it is. Get it repaired before taking it back out. Or, buy a new one and then get the old one repaired so you have a spare.
