I HAVE A 1974 70HP JOHNSON STINGER MOTOR<br />ON IT SAYS SAFETY WARNING, BEFORE ENGAGING OR STOWING TRAIL LOCK BE SURE TRAIL LOCK IS ENGAGED AND TILT LEVER IS IN TILT(WORD SCRAPED OFF HERE)<br />BEFORE TRAILING WITH ENGINE ON TRAIL LOCK BE SURE TILT LEVER IS ON THE RUN POSITION AND TRAIL LOCK HAS ENGAGED REVERSE LOCK<br />AND THEN THERE IS A LEVER ONE SIDE SAYS RUN AND THE OTHER SIDE SAYS TILT

Me to, DJ. I assume this has something to do when trailering the motor and using the tilt lock to keep it in the up position?? Does the motor have electric tilt and trim?

Leafs..... Interpertation:<br /><br />Move tilt/run lever to tilt position.<br /><br />Tilt engine.<br /><br />Lower the trailering bracket lever between the transom brackets to the trailering position (down).<br /><br />Lower the motor so that it rests on the trailering bracket.<br /><br />Move the tilt lever to the run position which will lock the spring loaded reverse lock hooks over the trailering lever.
